U.S. Alaska Engineering Commission Photograph Collection, 1916-1919
This collection includes views of Anchorage, public and private buildings, construction activities, facilities and equipment of the Alaska Railroad, then identified as Alaska Engineering Commission Railway. Official photographers for the Commission include: P.S. Hunt, H. G. Kaiser, A. J. Johnson and S. Laurence. The collection also includes views by The Sydney Laurence Co. and E. A. Hegg.

Major subjects covered in the collection include:
Eskimo methods of food gathering and preservation;
personnel of the Public Health Service and their patients;
effects of oil exploration on the tundra in the North Slope area;
miscellaneous views of Alaskan towns and villages and community activities.

The collection includes the 40 black and white and color transparencies (2"x2") presented with the narrative. The slides include maps, historical photographs, and current scenes from the program.
U.S. Army Alaska’s Bicentennial Pageant Photograph Collection, 1975
In 1975, the Alaskan 172nd Infantry Brigade in Anchorage commemorated the U.S. bicentennial. These photographs depict historical events from the Revolutionary War to the Vietnam War which were dramatized and narrated in the pageant., and the soldiers’ uniforms change according to the timeframe of each scene.

U.S. Atomic Energy Commission Slide Collection, 1969-1970
The slides show area views, maps, data charts, graphs, operation buildings, personnel living quarters, and objectives concerning the underground nuclear testing on Amchitka Island, Alaska 1969-1970. Although a narrative was not included, the slides are organized to represent the illustrations used by seven speakers.

U.S. Bureau of Public Roads Photograph Collection, 1967
This collection of photographs records the damage done to Fairbanks and surrounding areas at the time of the Chena River flood in August of 1967. The river, which runs through the city of Fairbanks, flooded buildings, covered streets and damaged bridges. The Elliot and Steese Highways and the Chena Hot Springs Road sustained roadbed and bridge damage due to the flooding. A preliminary report, written by Gene O. Hanna is included with the photographs.
