Tlingit Indian Genealogy Notes & Information, ca. 1915-1926
This collection includes Louis Shotridge’s notes on 5x7 cards with information concerning such subjects as Tlingit clans, genealogy, hostage/slave, Lhich-Naedi House, Shungoo-Kaedi House, geographic names, photographs, specimen (Tlingit artifact descriptions), warfare, and the itinerary of Louis Shotridge while gathering information from 1922-1924. Also included is a copy Shotridge’s map of study sites and a letter of the map’s transfer from the University of Pennsylvania Museum.
Tlingit Indian Views, 1882-1934
This collection contains 59 - 8 x 10" black and white photographs of Tlingit chiefs, Tlingit villages, and village activities as well as 2 portraits of photographer G.T. Emmons. In addition to the prints, there are 232 views (photocopies) of early Tlingit people, their activities and villages. The photographs are by J.M. Blankenberg, G.T. Emmons, Richard Maynard, C.F. Newcombe, and J.E. Worden.
To the Klondike: The Diary of a Young Man, 1898 March 1 to Sept. 7
Diary of nineteen-year-old Leo R. Healy, who with his brother George Healy, journeyed to the Yukon Klondike Gold Fields in 1898. Arriving in Seattle after a train trip from Chicago, Illinois, the two brothers bought their outfits and voyaged to Skagway, then over the Chilkoot Pass to Dawson. After a brief stay, seeing conditions in Dawson, they returned home via the Yukon and St. Michael.

Ark A. Tower Photograph Collection, 1901-1903
The collection contains sixteen black and white photographs mounted on board and with descriptions on versos, possibly written by Ark Tower. The images show Fort Egbert at the turn of the century, fellow soldiers (many are identified), military life on the base, the Fort Egbert school, missionary teacher and students, and the Fort Egbert Native village. The collection also includes a diary kept by Ark Tower, from Jan. to June 1903.

Alaska-Yukon Trips, 1962, 1966 : The black and white photographs were taken by Wilson D. Ellis of Berkeley. They document two tours of Alaska, Vancouver, and the Yukon Territory. The 1966 tour was taken by the Travel Club of Southern California. There are images of southeast communities as well as Fairbanks, Anchorage, Skagway, Yakutat, and Whitehorse, B.C. Many of the photos are captioned and some club members are identified.
