The photographs were taken by Lee Lucas who worked with Robert Fleek at the Supply Quonset in Juneau. Lucas previously had worked as a professional photographer for Ordway and Lu-Eck. Photos include buildings, personnel, aircraft, aerials, and activities at the Naknek Air Base in 1944. According to Fleek, Naknek Air Base is now King Salmon.

Of the 96 negatives in this collection, 41 have been scanned and a computer-generated print has been made of each of these.
