These photocopies of photographs in the National Anthropological Archives of the Smithsonian Institution were collected by Joaqlin Estus in 1981 while participating in an archival training program at the archives.

The collection represents photographs collected by William H. Dall, Edward H. Harriman and John P. Harrington as well as other Northwest Coast Indian views located in archives.
