A list of names of Navel Officers and ships on which they served was provided by the Navy Department. The War Department provided military biographies on ninety-five officers serving in Alaska from 1867-1917. The typescript information provided during 1919-1920 is bound in one volume.

Content Description Series I: This album belonged to Charles Carlton “Carl” Collen who was a cook/deckhand on board the Juneau boat Yakobi, ca. 1933. The U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey chartered the Yakobi to map and chart areas in the Bering Sea. They went as far as Icy Point, to the Diomede Islands, King Island, St. Lawrence Island, and the Aleutian Islands.
