This journal contains daily entries of work performed and expenses of mining properties on Elephant Creek about 7 miles east of Marshall, Alaska in the Nulato Hills. It also contains a daily diary from 1943-1945 written by an unknown miner who lived in a cabin and operated his placer claims. He describes the weather and his daily activities.

Content Description This collection includes photographs of Juneau and Southeast Alaska scenes, 1930s and personal letters and photographs that Mr. Adams sent to his childhood friend Mrs. Francis Moore of Michigan. The letters date from 1909 to 1935 and cover many subjects and description about his life in Dawson City, Y.T. The photo postcards were collected by Stanley Erickson while he worked for the Alaska Steamship Co. from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. Photos include: Cordova, Mount Eccles, Juneau, Petersburg, Wrangell, the Northwestern, Nome, dogs, reindeer, Eskimos, and Siberian natives. Most were taken in the early part of the 20th century from 1915-1930.
