DEACCESSIONED: Daughters of the American Revolution, Alaska, Juneau Chapter Records, 1954-1991. TRANSFERRED TO: The DAR Library, 1776 D Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., 20006-5392, 202-879-3229; May 22, 2003.
The records include the minutes of meetings, secretary files with correspondence and clippings, a written history and yearbooks of the Juneau Chapter, and annual state reports. The minutes, dating from 1959-1991, contain officer and member lists and notes on activities. The bulk of the correspondence is with other DAR chapters and the National Society DAR.

Letters describing his trip to Sitka in 1885, comments on teaching, the school, life in Sitka, hunting, and the people; includes a letter from F.L. Moore, a Tlingit Indian, to Pres. Cleveland, 2/26/1893, recommending A.J. Davis for governor of Alaska.

Indian Songs of Alaska is a collection of Tlingit music written down by Carol Beery Davis. Rev. Andrew P. Kashevaroff collected the English and Tlingit lyrics. The notebook containing the songs is dated 1922.
Descriptive Booklet Alaska Historical Museum, published by the Alaska Historical Association, undated, was inscribed by Father Kashevaroff to Mrs. Trevor (Carol Beery) Davis in thanks for her work on this project.

Rosemary and Stewart Davis Photograph Collection, ca. 1920-1939
The Davis collection contains 35 black and white photographs of various sizes regarding Rosemary Davis’ teaching career in Alaska. The photographs show Rosemary, high school basketball teams, school band class, Douglas Island Women’s club, native school children, the Bethel Beach Home for native children (Christine Peterson and Mrs. Millie Stevenson, missionaries in charge). Rosemary is in many of the photographs and is holding a saxophone in the band class photo.
