Juneau Rescue Council members pulling two adventurers out of 80-foot crevasse to waiting Livingston copter. The men had been in over night in knee-deep ice-water. They were taken by chopper to ambulance waiting on the Highway and transported to the hospital. They survived, due to immediate availability of the helicopter.

Livingston Copter taking position for transporting to safety three adventurers who had dropped into an 80-foot crevasse on Mendenhall Glacier, out of Juneau, Alaska. They were imprisoned over night in knee-deep ice water and would have perished, had it not been for the immediate availability of the copters. The Juneau Rescue Council members are pulling them up to the surface by ropes.
