Content Description
The C.L. Andrews collection includes photographs from many places in Alaska, circa 1892-1940 and reflect the time he spent in Sitka, Skagway, Eagle on the Yukon River, and in the arctic while working for the School and Reindeer Service. Mr. Andrews' photographic collection includes his own photographs in Alaska and also photographs he collected by fellow photographers. A variety of subjects, i.e., bidarkas, fisheries, glaciers, Tlingit Indian arts, totems, as well as portraits of individuals and groups, are included in the collection.
