Case and Draper Photograph Collection, 1898-1920.
Case and Draper were best known for their portraits and photographs of the life and customs of the Tlingit Indians, early Skagway, and the Gold Rush of 1898. Their views were reproduced in a variety of Alaskan books, including The Soapy Smith Tragedy, and on postcards and White Pass and Yukon Railway souvenir playing cards. Collection includes views of southeast Alaska, portraits, and Tlingit Indians, 1898-1920.
Caterpillar Tractor Co. Photograph Collection, 1942-1948
The ten photographs depict mining in Juneau and in the Kougarok District north of Nome on the Seward Peninsula and highway construction in Alaska. Several feature various Caterpillar heavy machines. In addition there is a picture of the rookeries of the Pribilof Islands and the Mendenhall Glacier. Some photographs are dated.

The collection consists of 44, 8x10 inch, black and white images from the U.S. Army Signal Corps. The images depict the construction of an airport and the surveying and construction of the Alaska-Canadian (ALCAN) Highway during World War II by over 11,000 army personnel and 7,500 civilians.

W.J. Childs Diary, 1913
The W.J. Childs diary is a small black book with Northern Commercial Co. embossed on the front. In it he kept notes on daily activities and events for October and November of 1913. The diary also includes some names and addresses.
“China Joe” Papers, ca. 1917-2004
These materials were collected by Mark Whitman of Juneau, Alaska to aid in the creation of a stageplay script based on China Joe’s life. The collection contains the Legal documents filed by or for China Joe, one notebook of research pertaining to the life and death of China Joe, newspaper articles, and handwritten notes. Brett Dillingham of Juneau, Alaska also contributed.
