This album contains photographs he collected while stationed at the Ft. Davis Army Post from 1915-1919. The collection also includes 21 views taken by Lomen Bros. Images record the daily life of the soldiers at Fort Davis Army Post and people and community activities in Nome. Also includes the All Alaska Sweepstakes, gold mining, Alaskan towns, scenics and wildlife. 1913-1919.

Scope and Contents The papers in MS 127 contain manuscripts and notes of Frances Knapp Morgan centering around her life in Sitka from 1890-1893 and the Morgan-Inman correspondence from 1958-1962. Although the correspondence continued until Morgan's death in 1965, the letters from 1963-1965 have not been located by the donor. Pauline Winchester Inman's revised Morgan manuscripts and correspondence with publishers and others interested in Morgan's writings, are also included. Inman's work on the manuscripts...

Scope and Contents The collection contains the two albums described above as well as 2-16mm films.One film is of a trip on the Alameda from Ketchikan to Skagway. The film includes footage of canneries and buildings such as Quadra (N.W. Fisheries Co., Boca De Quadra, Alaska), Metlakatla Commercial Co., Alaska Pacific Salmon Corporation (APSC) Sunny Point Cannery in Ketchikan, and Superior Packing Co. in Tenakee Inlet. Photographs and postcards are primarily of Juneau with a few other southeast Alaska towns included. Winter & Pond, W.H. Case and C.W. Beyers, Ordway, F. Matheson, and Kirk[?] photographers are represented in the collection. A photograph listing on W.H. Case letterhead follows the photographs, however, only photographs 1-27 were received by the Library. Also included is a description of The Beaver Pole. The bulk of the photographs were from the 1907-1935 time period.

The five pen and pencil drawings show views from the back, front, side, and interior of the house Kivetoruk Moses has sketched for the Alaska State Housing Authority. The drawings are annotated with descriptive details and signed, Eskimo Artist, Kivetoruk Moses, Nome, Alaska, P. O. Box 814.

Content Description The papers are primarily personal letters written by Mr. Moss to his fiancée, Elsie Krey in Duluth, Minnesota. Elsie, the daughter of John Krey who is chief engineer for the Katalla Company, later joins her parents in Katalla. These letters concern the life of R.W.
