This collection contains congressional legislation, correspondence, studies, and information relative to the construction of the Trans Alaska Pipeline. The files were maintained by Guy Martin as counsel for the State of Alaska.

The studio-mounted photographs in this collection are from the Alaska Photo Company, which operated a studio in Douglas, Alaska, in 1897. Individual photographers are not identified. Images include Douglas, Sitka, Ft. Wrangel (Wrangell), scenics, ships, people, and Alaska Native culture. The majority of the original photographs are mounted on boards and many are badly faded.

Content Description A black leather photograph album composed mostly of black and white photographs taken by commercial photographers, and some personal photographs of towns and geographical features along the Inside Passage and into the interior of Alaska. Views include mining camps, fox farms, landscapes, roadhouses, Juneau scenes, men on horses, gold dredges, and glaciers. This collection of private and commercial photographs show images of various towns in southeast Alaska, glaciers, Fort William H. Seward, and Alaska scenics. Photographers include Winter & Pond, Ordway, and Alaska Scenic Views. There is also a business card from Alaska Premier Fur Farm – Rudy’s Ranch and a metal token saying “Raincheck – good for one snort”.
