Paul M. Sorensen Photograph Collection, ca. 1930-1950
The collection includes pictures of the Hirst-Chichagof mine, the Sorensens, some employees, float planes, the Estebeth, and the Zapora. Nine non-pictorial items relating to the mine complete the collection. These items include newspaper clippings; the manager's report to stockholders; an obituary of Lew G. Kay, president of the mine; and postcards to stockholders.

The collection contains the original audio recorded interviews each writer/historian was able to make while researching for his/her part of the book. The collection also includes administrative papers, such as the photograph use permission forms.
There is also an e-book that contains more material than the printed book. Some of the collection, such as the music record, were used in the making of the e-book.

The 316 color slides in this collection feature schools and towns in Southeast Alaska, with emphasis on Juneau area schools, from 1966 through 1970. There is also a short description of a boat trip to Snettisham to set up a school there in 1970. There were 11 children of families involved in the Snettisham construction project. The last page lists some of the people on the trip.

The programs contain photographs of players and articles written by Dr. Gil Truitt concerning the history of high school basketball in Sitka. Also included is a poster, “Sitka ANB Tribe, 1914-1964” featuring ball players who wore Sitka ANB uniforms, 1914-1964; Hall of Fame individuals are named; dedicated to Peter Simpson.
