The images are from Sitka and the majority are credited to The Photo Shop Studio. Images of two Tlingit elders, William Wells and Jim Jacobs, in traditional costume, are included. Nanette Smith collected postcards, pamphlets, newsletters and film footage while on her cruise to Alaska in 1948, specifically of Southeast Alaska and British Columbia, and the White Pass and Yukon Railroad. In addition, there are two news clippings and a copy of a Skagway Kangaroo Court receipt. All materials date from June 1948.
