Most of the photographs were taken and captioned by Dave Brower. They depict Barrow events, whaling, hunting, Eskimo culture, the Brower family and friends and seven photographs of Charles and Anne Lindbergh with their airplane at Barrow, 1931.

The home coming of a successful whale-ing season's crew. Each boat that catches a whale when coming ashore puts up his own flag to show that he has caught one or more whales for the season. This is my canoe and crew coming home. My team is hauling both the sled and the canoe.
