Biographical Note
Norm and Linda Carson are collectors and authors of Pelican, Alaska history. As a college student on summer break, Norm worked at the cold storage, and moved to Pelican in 1966. After a career as an Alaska State Trooper for twenty-one years, Norm became Chief of Security at the Alaska State Legislature. Additionally, Norm has owned and operated commercial fishing boats. Currently, Norm and Linda are the proprietors of Pelican Charters. Norm is author of the book, Courage and Death on the Gulf of Alaska: Saga of the Fishing Vessel “Dixie” and he and Linda produced a documentary, Pelican: The Early Years, 1938-1944.
