Caleb Berry Correspondence, 1898-1931
Scope and Contents
This collection contains photocopies of letters written from 1898 to 1931 by miner Caleb Berry who came to the Klondike Gold Rush via the White Pass Route out of Skagway, Alaska, in 1898. Also included is a photocopy transcription of some of the letters, photocopies of photographs of Caleb and his sled teams, and photocopies of three newspaper clippings.

Biographical
Caleb Berry (born ca. 1843) came to the Klondike Gold Rush via the White Pass Route out of Skagway, Alaska, in 1898. He lived in Alaska and Canada working as a sourdough gold miner, hunter, and with a dog sled transportation company.
