Biographical Note

Mary Juanita Pauley was born in Tampa, Florida. Mary spent most of her life in Florida but also spent time in Alaska as did her grandmother and aunts who homesteaded in Alaska. Ms. Pauley was a property manager for Franklin Enterprises based in Juneau, Alaska. In the late 1970s she was a Drafter and Junior Planner/Scheduler for Brown & Root when she worked on a project on the BP Alaska North Slope Pipeline. She also drafted for NASA and Bell Laboratories. M. Juanita Pauley was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She died at age 83 on May 3, 2011, in Florida. Immediate Source of Acquisition

This collection was donated to the Alaska State Historical Collections library by Colleen Pauley Perry, daughter of the collector, M. Juanita Pauley, August 6, 2012. Accession #2012-024.

Processing Information

The photo prints arrived in faded and curled condition. They were numbered and placed in Mylar. The maps were also placed in Mylar. The collection was then placed in acid free folders and an archival box.
