Receipt acknowledgement of Alaska purchase check for $7,200,000.00, image of endorsement signatures on verso of the Alaska purchase check, Skagway news articles about the "Soapy" Smith shooting, Henry W. Elliot watercolors, Tlingit, Eskimo, and Aleut images, early maps and charts. Some of the artists represented include: Frank Alfred Golder, J. Webber (sailed with Capt. James Cook), Benjamin Russell, Von F.H. Kittlitz, W. John Harris, Solomon Rapinski, W. Ellis, C.L. Andrews, William Smyth, Levashev, Gavriil Andreevich Sarychev, Nina Crumrine, I. Rodinov, E-too-ach-in-na, and others.
