Biographical

Michael "Jake" Jacobson was born on December 5, 1946. He grew up in Eugene, Oregon; graduated from Oregon State University in 1969 with degree in wildlife management. In 1972 hired by US. Fish and Wildlife Service based in Juneau and then in Anchorage in 1974. Jake lived in Kaktovik from July 1977 to May 1980. He died November 15, 2023.

The collection was donated by Carol Ende for the estate of Michael Jacobson, September 12, 2024. Acc. # 2024-030.

Processing Information

This collection has been described at the item level. Items were placed in Mylar, and all items placed into pH-neutral folders. Rusty staples were removed and replaced with archival staples. Five published documents were added to the Historical Collections book collections or Alaska State Library circulating collections.
