Biographical / Historical
Samuel Archer was born in Holiday Cove, W. Virginia, May 31, 1868. He went to Nome in 1897 and opened Archer & Ewing, a mercantile store. Archer remained in Alaska 12 years. He died August 10?, 1936 on Bainbridge Island, Washington.
