Juneau are in view] This will give you an idea of the Treadwell Glory Hole, the picture shows about one half of it when a blast is fired in it, the rock slides down into chutes., at the bottom, from there it is taken in cars, and hauled to the shaft, then hoisted to the crushers, in the tops of the two tall buildings in the foreground, after being broken up it is again hauled away to the mills.
