This collection of contact sheets and negatives primarily includes vessels and shipwrecks. R. N. DeArmond compiled the collection from photographs copied from the Lloyd A. “Kinky” Bayer Collection and the private collection of Ralph E. MacKay.

Other views of the Nome area, Juneau, Ft. Gibbon, Tanana, Ft. Hamlin, Valdez, mining activities, and aviation activities were copied from the Dobbs, Lomen Bros., Simmer, Case & Draper, Winter & Pond, Partridge Bros., and D.D. Pittman photographs.
