From the Collection:

The collection consists of 299 glass plate negatives created principally by David Waggoner. Another 883 prints are taken from photo albums kept by David and Mary Waggoner. The images depict people and communities in Southeast Alaska, particularly Klawock and Juneau. The collection also includes an album of 49 photographs relating to the 1929 U.S. Navy Alaska Aerial Survey Expedition, featuring aerial views of communities in Southeast Alaska. It also includes a booklet of photos titled "Breaking Ground For The Capitol Building, Juneau, Alaska. September 18, 1929." Transcripts of writings of Mary and David Waggoner are also included in this collection.

133 glass lantern slides were added to this collection. The subjects covered by these images are similar to the glass plate negatives and the prints from the Waggoner photo album.
