"Valdez, Alaska", with Hotel Valdez in the foreground. This town suffered badly during the tidal wave in March 1964. The location on Prince William Sound provides excellent sport fishing opportunities. Valdez can be reached over the Richardson Highway from Anchorage and Fairbanks.
