"St. Michael's Cathedral". An old Russian church in the center of Sitka and undoubtedly the most interesting relic of the Russian period in Alaska history. It was dedicated Nov. 20, 1848. Its priceless pictures and embroidered robes were brought over the long land and sea road from St. Petersburg.
