The collection contains David Stone’s research files related to his work as an historian of gold mining in Alaska, particularly in the Juneau Mining District.

Boxes 1 through 3 contain photocopies of original documents detailing the history of each of the mines which eventually were consolidated into the Alaska Juneau Gold Mining Company.

Box 4 includes cassette tapes with interviews conducted by David Stone while researching Hard Rock Gold.
