E. A. Hegg Glass Plate Collection, ca. 1900-1944
Scope and Contents
This collection contains glass plate negatives from which the positive glass plates were created. The lantern slides would have been created from the second generation positives which are part of this collection. The images on the plates depict ships and views of Nome and Unalaska.
The collection also includes a small number of photograph prints and one nitrate negative. The prints and negative portray people and places that are mostly unidentified.

These images are thought to have been created by photographer E. A. Hegg. Hegg’s signature is on only two of the images.

Processing Information
This collection has been described at the item level. Original order maintained. Glass plates and lantern slides placed into pH-neutral envelopes and archival box. Prints placed in archival sleeves. The lantern slides, derived from the glass negatives and positives, were scanned. The glass negatives and positives have not been scanned or printed.
