Scope and Contents
This collection contains views of Robert and Hilda, their friends, school children, Thane and the Alaska Gastineau Mining Company mill. There are also interior views of the Treadwell mines, including the cyanide plant.

Biographical Note
Robert Dunn graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in about 1906 as a civil engineer. It is unknown when he arrived in Alaska, however, he worked in the Juneau mines around 1910. His wife, Hilda (nee Axelson) taught school in Thane.
