Arrangement
The State Library has maintained the original order of the photographs as they were received from the Skinner Foundation. The photos are arranged by volume numbers within three series:
* Series one (volumes 1-11) contains locations and activities of the Alaska tourist and shipping trade.
* Series two (volumes 12-14) contains Alaska Steamship Company vessels and ship plans.
* Series three (volumes 15-32) includes a photographic record of the Skinner Company, such as cargo, personnel, passengers, ships and general Alaska views of ports visited. This series of photographs are grouped by folder only and are not described in detail.
