Abstract
Series I contains first or earliest issues of a newspaper title or rare issues. Some early issues which were laminated as well as issues from James Wickersham’s collection (“Wick”) are also kept here.
Series II contains annual or anniversary issues such as Progress Editions.
Series III contains issues with topics or events of special interest which could be in demand for filming or display.
Boxes are numbered separately within each series. All boxes are located in the Oversize section of the Manuscript Collection.

“The” is dropped from all newspaper titles (The Alaska Free Press = Alaska Free Press).
