Scope and Contents
Includes scans of paintings of Charles E. and Helen Beede Davidson by artist Ruby Khutchill, photoprints of Will and Sally Webb in Nome, Council City, Bluff and 4 letters from Charles E. Davidson to "Friend and Bro, " from Six Mile [Sixmile] Creek and Juneau, Alaska, 1896-1897. Also includes a Goetze and a Simmer photoprints. Includes log building housing Kinne Photographer in Nome and general merchandiser, Sanborn Marshall and Co.

Biographical / Historical
Charles Edward Davidson, surveyor, in California, Juneau (1905 survey), Nome, Fairbanks, appointed surveyor-general and ex-officio secretary of Alaska, 1913-1919, chairman Democratic Central Committee and Democratiic National Committee. Davidson married Mrs. Fred Peters nee Helen Beede in Cordova, March 24, 1912; they had three children. Davidson drowned at Taku Inlet when he slipped from deck of a small cruiser, August 8, 1919.
Sally Webb, wife of Will, is the sister of Helen Beede Davidson. The Webbs spent time in Nome and Council City, ca. 1903.
