Golden North Airways, Inc. filed a lawsuit against Tanana Publishing Co., Inc., publisher of the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, in 1952; the lawsuit centered around an editorial containing statements concerning all non-scheduled air carriers operating in Alaska, which included Golden North; Golden North was formerly Mt. McKinley Airways, Inc.
