The collection contains the original audio recorded interviews each writer/historian was able to make while researching for his/her part of the book. The collection also includes administrative papers, such as the photograph use permission forms.

There is also an e-book that contains more material than the printed book. Some of the collection, such as the music record, were used in the making of the e-book.

The publication “The View from the Future, 2017: Fifty Years After the Alaska Purchase Centennial, will look back at each of the centennial projects to evaluate its economic, cultural and social contribution; celebrate and record the spirit of the communities that participated by developing a project or building; and explore the similarities and differences of the public dynamic that is present today within the various locations.”
