Biographical
Adolph Harles “Pat” Mann (June 2, 1894-Jan 10, 1937) lived in Juneau, Alaska from 1914 to late 1917, where he served one year of a four year appointment as a Notary Public for the Territory of Alaska. Prior to his living in Juneau, Pat Mann studied corporate law. He returned to St. Louis, Missouri in 1917 to enlist in the United States Army Aeronautic Service. He was stationed at Ellington Field, Houston, Texas. When WWI ended, he went to Seattle. He joined the Seattle Flyer’s Club and was involved in the first Seaplane Derby from Seattle to Alaska. He left the Pacific Northwest in 1928 to settle in the San Francisco, California area, and worked as an insurance executive. [From donor’s notes].
